Sunset at Trillium Lake

Sunset at Trillium Lake, framed stained glass on board, 24″ x 48″~SOLD

This piece is inspired by my stay in the Mt Hood region of Oregon where I camped in a national forest near Trillium Lake for a few days. The time spent in this area was calm and relaxing. The forest was quiet, the skies blue and mostly clear – Mt Hood looked majestic.

A photograph I took of Mt Hood at Trillium Lake

Here I found a tranquility I longed for on the busier days my an eight month long road trip I was on. While hiking around at the foot of Mt Hood, watching the setting sun and the still reflection of the vista in Trillium Lake, knowing that there is turmoil and boiling lava below, that feeling which filled me at that moment was magical.
