Gaia – Goddess of Nature – The White Barred Owl, stained glass mosaic, 45″x25″, 2016
~Available for Sale

For years I’ve had an idea to incorporate a bird into my landscapes. This would build on my previous work with a female character as part of the landscape. The bird would be a morphing character that passes through a series of scenes. I’ve not yet had time to bring this vision to fruition but in 2012 I began to experiment with bird imagery. I chose to study the owl as there are various species and each is adorned in a beautiful natural pattern that lends it self well to being translated in glass.

Take a look at a few pieces I’ve created over the years.  These are not part of a series, each one is an individual project that I worked on in between my landscapes – something for a change of pace and to experiment with new imagery and pattern.
